The Choral Scholars of Halifax Minster present a lunchtime concert as part of Halifax Minster’s Summer Festival 2025, featuring a new cycle of songs by Choral Society member Debra Page, There will also be new music by the Choral Society’s Conductor and Artistic Director, Anthony Gray, who will accompany at the piano.

In this evening concert, join Anthony under Luke Jerram’s amazing ‘Gaia’ installation for a journey through the universe as you travel from Bob Chilcott’s awakening Sun dance, through to Hans Zimmer’s epic intergalactic score for Interstellar. The evening will also feature the transcendent works Pari Intervallo by Arvo Pärt and Le Banquet Céleste by Olivier Messiaen, both of which will showcase the organ’s extraordinary ability to convey both ethereal beauty and deep spiritual resonance.

Anthony performs an organ recital at All Saints’ Church, Leek as part of their 140th anniversary celebrations. His programme takes us ‘Bach to the Future’ with music from the great master Johann Sebastian Bach, through to contemporary composers, and all sorts in between!

Anthony directs the choir of St Paul King Cross for Solemn Evensong at Blackburn Cathedral.
